The salt dough is very good to work with children. It is very easy to prepare and the children also can help to do it. It is not toxic and can be modeled with the hands or using modeling tools, or different kinds of molds.

Recipe to make salt dough

Ingredients

  • 1 measure of flour
  • ½ measure of salt
  • Water

Preparation

Mix the salt with the flour and slowly add the water to obtain dough which does not stick to the hands and is good to model it.

If we want to make colored salt dough, you can add a few drops of food coloring or tempera paint (if you add tempera paint not allow children to put it in their mouths).
