Calluses have thick parts of dead skin and tend toappear under the heel, next to the big toe or over a bunion. However, there are also other hardnesses called “ foot nails” which are skin corneal lumps that also appear on the feet with a main core of hard keratin that becomes painful if it is pressed . - Garlic againts calluses
Apply garlic juice on the calluses every day. Another option is to make a paste with chopped garlic and olive oil, or with garlic and pig or cow fat. Apply before bedtime and let it sit all night wrapped with a bandage. Once the callus gets soft , it can be easily removed. - Chamomile
Make an infusion with four tablespoons of chamomile in a liter of water. Let it cool for some minutes and soak your feet. This will help relieve pain and soften the thickened skin. - Very effective homemade remedy made of aspirins and lemon
Crush 6 aspirins until dust. Then, add drops of lemon juice and water in equal parts until you get a paste. In case it gets very aqueous, add more crushed aspirins.
Apply the paste on the hardened area or callus and wrap it with a plastic bag very well, together with a warm compress for 15 minutes. The heat will make the paste enter into the skin and soften the callus. After that, remove the paste with a warm bath, dry and rub the area with a pumice stone. Repeat the treatment until the callus disappears. - Calendula
Apply an ointment made of calendula petals 2 or 3 times a day. This will soften the tissue quickly and; what is more, it acts as an anti- inflammatory. - Fig trees to remove callosity
Apply the milky juice that comes from a fig trees branch or leaf on the callus every day. Also, you can apply a fig tree leaf dipped into warm water. - Leek and vinegar recipe
Marinate many leek leaves in wine vinegar for 24 hours . Then, apply the leaves on the callus several times a day. After that, remove gently rubbing the area with a disinfected non- cutting instrument. - Lemon recipe
Before bedtime, apply a lemon slice on the callus wrapped with a bandage. Let it sit all night and due to the citrus acid, the callus will disappear. - Mustard foot bath
Boil 2 tablespoons of dry mustard in a half a liter of water for some minutes. Let it cool and soak your feet in this preparation for 10 minutes. Then, dry your feet and apply a bit of castor oil to soften the area. - Castor oil
Rub castor oil on the callus twice a day. - Onion to soften and remove calluses
Roast an onion and then crush it. Apply on the affected area with soft massages for 5 minutes. After that, apply a layer of glycerine and rub with a pumice stone, an emery or a handful of wet salt to remove the dead skin.
