How to heal blisters

The first thing we have to do is remove the liquid inside. To do that we have to burst the blisters with a needle previously disinfected with heat or alcohol. After bursting, wash the area gently, until all the liquid is finally out. We must not remove the skin, because it will help that the area won't get infected.

Then, we have to wipe it with alcohol and use a scar cream or a little gauze, to isolate the infected area. It's best to change the gauze or adhesive tape every day.

If it heals well, the superficial skin of the blister will become thicker and then it will break in little pieces.

If the blister breaks itself, we have to wash the wound with water and soap, apply an antibacterial and scar cream, and cover it with a bandage or clean gauze.

Grandma's recipe for curing blisters

An ancient recipe consists in putting the wound in hot water with salt for 20 minutes. Then, remove the water and dry the wound but softly. Next, we mix an egg white with olive oil (equally) and we apply this over the blister.

Note. If you experience pain, redness, swelling in the area where the blister is, you have to go to the doctor; it's more likely that the blister is infected.
